How ClosetComparator handles information, analytics, affiliate tracking and third-party services.
Last updated 19 August 2026
Who we are
ClosetComparator is a luxury shopping discovery and comparison platform helping users discover and compare luxury and pre-owned products across independent third-party retailers.
Purchases are completed directly with the relevant retailer rather than with ClosetComparator.
Information we may collect
Depending on how you use ClosetComparator, information may include:
- IP address and approximate location;
- browser, device and operating-system information;
- pages viewed and referring pages;
- searches and interactions;
- outbound retailer clicks; and
- affiliate attribution information.
How we use information
We may use information to:
- operate and secure ClosetComparator;
- provide product discovery and comparison functionality;
- understand website performance;
- improve search, content and usability;
- measure outbound retailer traffic;
- attribute eligible affiliate transactions; and
- respond to enquiries.
Cookies & analytics
We may use cookies and similar technologies for website functionality, analytics, affiliate attribution and remembering preferences.
ClosetComparator may use services including Google Analytics and Hotjar to understand how visitors interact with the website and improve the experience.
Affiliate links, tracking & commissions
ClosetComparator contains affiliate links. If you follow certain links to a retailer and subsequently make a purchase, ClosetComparator may receive a commission or referral fee. This does not normally increase the price you pay.
We may work with affiliate networks and monetisation providers including Skimlinks, Takeads/Mitgo, CJ Affiliate, Awin, Partnerize and other partners.
These providers may use cookies, scripts, tracking identifiers, link-wrapping technology or similar methods to identify that a user reached a retailer through ClosetComparator and to attribute eligible transactions.
Third-party retailers
ClosetComparator links to independent third-party retailers and websites. Once you leave ClosetComparator, the destination website's own privacy policy, cookie practices and terms apply.
ClosetComparator is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of independent third-party websites.
Sharing information
Information may be shared where reasonably necessary with service providers that help us operate ClosetComparator, including hosting, analytics, security and affiliate-attribution providers.
Information may also be disclosed where required by law.
Retention & international processing
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for operational, analytical, security, contractual and legal purposes.
Some service providers and affiliate partners operate internationally, so information may be processed outside the country in which you are located.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to certain processing of your personal information.
Where processing relies on consent, you may also have the right to withdraw that consent.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or loss.
No internet-based service can guarantee absolute security.
Updates to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as ClosetComparator, our technologies, affiliate relationships or legal requirements change.
The latest version will always be published on this page.
